
Boston man accused of causing death by dangerous driving to appear in court
A man has been summoned to court following a fatal collision near Boston. David Smith, of Horbling Lane, Stickney is accused of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash near Boston last year. The incident happened on the B1183 at its junction with Pilleys Lane near Boston, which led to the death of a 62-year-old man on Monday, April 29, 2024. Mr Smith, 74, is due to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court on November 5, 2025. An update shared by Lincolnshire Police on Friday, October 3, states: “A 74-year-old man has been summoned to court following the death of a man in a collision on the B1183 near Boston. David Smith, of Horbling Lane, Stickney, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving. “The summons follows an investigation into a collision on the B1183 at its junction with Pilleys Lane near Boston, which sadly led to the death of a 62-year-old man on Monday, 29 April 2024. Mr Smith is due to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court on 5 November 2025.”
